Rivadavia kinesiologist faces upgraded sexual abuse charges

A kinesiologist in the Rivadavia department is facing increased legal scrutiny following allegations of sexual abuse at the Carlos Saporiti Hospital. Originally charged with simple sexual abuse, the individual was initially released under house arrest.

However, the legal situation has escalated after forensic evaluations by the Sexual Abuse Approach Team confirmed that a 25-year-old victim suffered severe mental health damage. Consequently, the charges have been upgraded to aggravated sexual abuse, which carries a potential prison sentence of 8 to 20 years.

A second victim, a 20-year-old woman, has come forward with a statement claiming she suffered a similar abuse by the same professional at the hospital in 2021. While she did not pursue formal criminal charges at the time, her testimony has been added to the current case to support the credibility of the primary victim.
