Rivas-Vaciamadrid health center expected to open by late 2027

The Madrid Regional Ministry of Health has confirmed that a fourth health center in Rivas-Vaciamadrid is scheduled to be operational by October or November 2027. This follows political friction with the Mayor of Rivas, Aída Castillejo, who suggested that announcements regarding new health infrastructure were being timed for electoral purposes.

Regional health authorities defended the project, stating that the contract tender and subsequent award are concrete realities rather than political promises. The new facility, located in the La Luna neighborhood on land provided by the local council, will utilize industrialized construction methods. The center is planned to include emergency services, nine family medicine consultation rooms, and sixteen specialized consultation rooms.
