Rivazzurra to reenact traditional Pesca alla Tratta fishing ritual

In Rivazzurra, Italy, the Rimini per Tutti onlus association and local tourism operators are organizing a reenactment of the ‘Pesca alla Tratta’. This traditional fishing technique, which was common along the coast until the mid-20th century, involves a collective effort where nets are cast offshore and then pulled toward the shore by people on the beach.

The event is scheduled for Friday, September 4, at Bagno Emilio 110. The demonstration begins at 10:00 AM with the deployment of the nets, allowing the public to observe the various stages of the process. Following the demonstration, a communal gathering will include live entertainment and a free tasting of piadina and sardoncini.
