River Horse Brewing Co. closes Ewing taproom, moves production out of NJ

River Horse Brewing Co., together with its sister brands DuClaw and 1947, announced that its tasting room in Ewing, New Jersey will close, remaining open to the public until Thanksgiving. Production of all three brands will be relocated to a Mid‑Atlantic brewery outside the state beginning in January 2027. The move is driven by the expiration of the current lease at the end of 2026 and the prohibitive cost of renewal. The company emphasized that the change is not a merger or acquisition; the breweries will share the new facility under an Alternating Proprietorship Agreement, each continuing to brew under its own name.
