River landscapes and historical routes in Spain
Various river regions in Spain offer unique landscapes shaped by the intersection of nature and human history. In Larouco, the Xares and Bibei rivers converge to form the Trambasaugas. This area features dense riparian vegetation and the ruins of the Molino do Cura, a former grain mill once operated by a man named Torcuato.
In Móra d’Ebre, the Ebre River has historically acted as both a divider and a connector, having joined an island to the mainland through sediment accumulation. The area around the Illa de l’Aubadera serves as a biodiversity oasis. Local walking routes guide visitors through riverside forests, past the Ermita de la Mare de Déu dels Dolors, and through historical sites such as the remains of a castle.
