River Plate faces Aldosivi in Copa Argentina match in Salta, hosts free training for local clubs

River Plate will play the round‑of‑16 Copa Argentina match against Aldosivi on 17 July in Salta, Argentina. Ahead of the game, the club’s Fundación River is organising a free training session called “Trascender la pelota” for local club officials and community sport organisations. The workshop will be held on 16 July from 15:00 to 20:00 at the Auditorio OSDE in Salta, in partnership with the Copa Argentina organisers and the Salta Ministry of Tourism and Sport.

The tournament has also confirmed the match officials: Andrés Gariano, 40, will referee the game – his fifth appearance in the competition and third consecutive Copa Argentina assignment – assisted by Pablo Acevedo and Iván Allende, with Federico Benítez as fourth official. No VAR will be used in this round, though video‑review technology is slated to be introduced from the next stage. River reached the last‑16 by beating Ciudad de Bolívar 1‑0, while Aldosivi qualified with a 3‑0 win over San Miguel.
