River Plate Foundation inaugurates field lighting in Purmamarca
The River Plate Foundation has inaugurated new lighting for the Diego Armando Maradona field at Club Atlético Santa Rosa in Purmamarca, Jujuy. Located at the foot of the Cerro de los Siete Colores, the project aims to improve sports infrastructure and community access for local youth.
To protect the landscape of the Quebrada de Humahuaca, the installation utilized underground cabling to conceal electrical wiring. The project was completed with support from Mantelectric, the Signify Foundation, and the provincial Sports Secretariat.
Club officials and local authorities, including Governor Sadir, emphasized the social importance of the club, which has served the community since 1924. The new lighting allows adolescents to use the multifunctional field for training and community activities after school hours. Felipe Llorente, president of the River Plate Foundation, noted that this is the fifth field the foundation has illuminated, following previous projects in Córdoba, San Juan, Buenos Aires, and Salta.
