River Plate midfielder Fausto Vera sidelined by injury

River Plate midfielder Fausto Vera has been diagnosed with a right hamstring tear, which is expected to keep him out of action for approximately three weeks. The injury occurred during the second half of River's 3-0 victory against Belgrano at the Mario Alberto Kempes Stadium.

Vera's absence will impact the team's lineup for the remainder of the Torneo Clausura regular season, specifically for the upcoming match against Racing de Avellaneda and the high-profile Superclásico against Boca Juniors on November 1.

Interim manager Leonardo Ponzio faces tactical adjustments in the midfield. Potential solutions include the promotion of 18-year-old reserve player Santiago Espíndola or the utilization of existing squad members to maintain River's position in the annual standings and playoff qualifications.
