Inter Miami signs Matías Galarza on loan from River Plate

Inter Miami has officially announced the signing of Paraguayan midfielder Matías Galarza on a one-year loan from River Plate. The deal includes an option to purchase 50% of the player's economic rights for approximately $3 million. This purchase becomes mandatory if Galarza participates in at least 66% of the club's official matches during his loan period.

Galarza, 24, is a standout performer from the 2026 World Cup and will join teammates including Lionel Messi, Luis Suárez, and Rodrigo de Paul. He previously played in Major League Soccer for Atlanta United and has experience in Brazil with Vasco da Gama and Coritiba.

The move follows a period of uncertainty for Galarza at River Plate, where he had been training separately from the main squad after falling out of the club's tactical plans.
