Diego Dabove resigns as Tigre head coach
Diego Dabove has resigned as the head coach of Tigre following a 1-0 defeat against Atlético Tucumán in the Torneo Clausura. The decision comes as the team faces a difficult period, sitting six points away from the final playoff qualification spots.
Dabove’s tenure at the club lasted 81 matches, during which he recorded 28 victories, 25 draws, and 28 defeats. In a press conference following the loss, he expressed his gratitude to the club's management, medical staff, and supporters, while apologizing to the fans for the “bitter end” of his cycle. He noted that despite their best efforts, the process was not successful.
Tigre is currently in 11th place in Zone B of the tournament. The club's management must now decide whether to appoint an interim coach or begin planning for the next season.
