River Plate secures Rafael Borré's return from Brazil's Inter
River Plate completed the re‑signing of Colombian striker Rafael Santos Borré from Brazilian side Sport Club Internacional. The deal is valued between US$2.5 million and US$3 million, with Borré agreeing to a salary reduction and relinquishing part of his pending wage to lower the transfer cost. The move follows Inter's need to cut payroll ahead of its 2026 financial plan. River also arranged a loan for forward Lucas Beltrán from Fiorentina, with an option to buy that could rise to about €7.5 million, and added Uruguayan defender Giovanni González from Krasnodar to strengthen the squad for the upcoming Argentine Clausura, Copa Sudamericana and Copa Argentina.
The transfers aim to boost River's attacking options and reduce squad size, while Inter benefits from reduced wage obligations and a modest influx of funds as part of its broader budgetary strategy.
