River Plate targets Flamengo goalkeeper Agustín Rossi

River Plate has identified Flamengo goalkeeper Agustín Rossi as a potential target for the 2027 season. The Argentine goalkeeper, who is currently a starter for Flamengo, is being considered as a replacement should River Plate's 21-year-old goalkeeper, Santiago Beltrán, be sold to a European club.

Beltrán has reportedly attracted interest from major European teams, including Inter Milan and Manchester United. Because of this potential departure, River Plate is evaluating options for a successor, with Rossi being a primary candidate due to his international experience and familiarity with Argentine football. Rossi previously played for several clubs in Argentina, including Boca Juniors, before moving to Brazil. He is currently under contract with Flamengo until December 2027.
