Riverina Police recover stolen vehicles after multi-town chase

Two individuals have been arrested following a police operation in the Riverina region that recovered two stolen vehicles. The first incident involved a gold Toyota Camry that was allegedly stolen from a driveway in Collina, Griffith, on August 3. Police report the owner left the vehicle unlocked with the keys inside for approximately 10 minutes. CCTV footage reportedly captured two individuals in dark clothing entering the car.

On August 5, a Kia Sportage was reported stolen from Mount Austin in Wagga Wagga. Police observed the Kia traveling alongside the stolen Camry, leading to a targeted operation by the Riverina Police District. Officers recovered both vehicles and arrested a 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old woman.

Authorities have issued a reminder to motorists to always lock their vehicles and remove keys, even when stepping away for only a few minutes.
