Rivers Governor Siminalayi Fubara Endorses Tinubu and Rainbow Coalition Ahead of 2027 Election
Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara announced his support for President Bola Tinubu’s second‑term bid, the Rainbow Coalition led by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and APC governorship candidate Kingsley Chinda during the groundbreaking of the Riven Medical Industries Project. Fubara said the political rivalry in Rivers has ended and called for peace, unity and development, urging supporters to back every candidate in the coalition.
Former Akwa‑Ibom Governor Emmanuel Udom also publicly backed Tinubu, praising the president’s macro‑economic reforms and urging Nigerians to support the “vision and capacity” to complete the reforms. Both endorsements come as the 2027 general elections approach, signalling a consolidation of pro‑Tinubu forces across several states.
The endorsements were made public via media statements and social‑media video clips, emphasizing political alignment, peace, and the anticipated economic benefits of Tinubu’s agenda.
