Rivers State Police deny land grabbing allegations

The Rivers State Police Command has denied allegations that Commissioner of Police Olugbenga Adepoju was involved in land grabbing at Victory Estate in the Rumuosi Community, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.

The command stated that the police presence on the site was intended solely to provide security for a court bailiff executing a valid judgment. Residents of Victory Estate contested the execution, claiming the judgment pertained to a different location, Rumuagholu Community, rather than their property.

Commissioner Adepoju has reportedly halted the execution and ordered the Police Legal Section to investigate the conflicting claims. The command is currently reviewing the certified true copy of the judgment and investigating the disputed location.
