Riverside County defendants face charges for alleged sexual assaults of minors

Two separate legal proceedings are underway in Riverside County involving allegations of sexual assault against minors.

Alejandro Rojas, 51, pleaded not guilty to multiple felony charges, including forced oral copulation, sodomy, and arranging to meet a minor for sexual offenses. Authorities allege Rojas used social media to contact a girl in Murrieta Valley before traveling to her home to commit the assaults. He is currently being held on $750,000 bail.

Separately, Ladislao Diaz Cuevas, 56, is facing trial following allegations of sexually assaulting two girls at his former daycare facility, Little Steps Family Daycare. Cuevas is charged with multiple counts of lewd acts on children and sexual penetration. Pretrial motions have commenced, and jury selection is expected to begin shortly. He is being held on $1 million bail and faces a potential life sentence if convicted.
