Riverside County Gas Prices and Property Tax Roll Reach New Highs

The average price of a self-serve regular gasoline gallon in Riverside County rose 3.2 cents to $5.44, marking the seventh consecutive daily increase. Since the U.S.-Iran conflict began on Feb. 28, local prices have risen $1.04, while the national average also climbed for a seventh day, reaching $4.02 per gallon.

Separately, the county’s property tax assessment roll approached $500 billion, up $24 billion from the previous year and marking 14 straight years of growth. Property values in the county increased 5% last year, driven by limited housing inventory and inflationary pressures. Residential and commercial properties account for about 90% of the roll, with the city of Riverside holding the largest local valuation at $49.7 billion.
