Riverside Studios announces cast for world premiere of ‘Affluenza’

Riverside Studios has announced the cast for the world premiere of ‘Affluenza’, written and directed by Andy Sandberg. The play, which serves as the first production in the venue’s 26/27 Mainstage Season, is scheduled to run from 26 September to 21 November 2026.

Joining ‘Stranger Things’ star Noah Schnapp are Janette Manrara, Rupert Young, Juliet Cowan, and Wallis Currie-Wood. The production explores themes of moral accountability, family legacy, and the American justice system, set against the backdrop of the ultra-wealthy Hamptons. The plot centers on the aftermath of a teenager’s devastating car accident and the question of whether extreme wealth influences the perception of right and wrong.

The creative team includes set designer Charlie Corcoran, costume designer Hannah Schmidt, lighting designer Jack Weir, and sound designer Emily Drohan. Casting director Nicholas Hockaday and associate director Cecilie Fray are also part of the production.
