Rivian and iKamper launch new rooftop tent collaboration

Rivian and iKamper have announced a new collaboration featuring the SkyCamp 4.0 DLX series of rooftop tents. These customized models are designed specifically to fit Rivian’s R1S, R1T, and the upcoming R2 vehicles.

The new lineup includes a Duo version for the R1T bed and a Trio version for the R1S and R2. The updated designs offer improved interior space, larger doors and windows, and an expanded skylight. Technical features include integrated LED lighting, USB-A and USB-C charging ports, and HVAC routing for extreme temperature management.

Separately, the overlanding market is seeing significant growth as rooftop tents transition from luxury items to mainstream accessories. Industry experts note that customers are increasingly demanding premium features such as hard-shell construction, faster setup times, and four-season performance. This shift is driving innovation among manufacturers and expanding the retail opportunities for accessory shops catering to adventure travelers.
