Rivian Automotive enters inflection point year amid analyst coverage
Rivian Automotive is experiencing a period of significant analyst activity and strategic transition. Citigroup has initiated coverage on the electric vehicle manufacturer with a ‘neutral’ rating and an $18.00 price target. This follows various other assessments from firms including Piper Sandler, which upgraded the stock to ‘overweight’, and Wells Fargo, which increased its price objective to $16.00.
At Morgan Stanley’s 14th Annual Laguna Conference, Rivian Founder and CEO RJ Scaringe described the current period as an ‘inflection point year’ for the company. Scaringe noted that while the 2021 launch of the R1 product established brand loyalty and served as an initial introduction to the market, the company is now moving beyond that initial phase.
