Rivian CEO RJ Scaringe is set to speak at TechCrunch Disrupt 2026, where he will discuss the company’s integration of AI, software, robotics, and manufacturing. Scaringe is currently overseeing the rollout of the R2, a $58,000 SUV intended to expand Rivian’s market reach beyond niche segments.

Beyond vehicle production, Scaringe is pursuing a roadmap for full Level 4 autonomy by 2028 and building an extensive charging network within the United States. Additionally, Scaringe serves as executive chair and acting CEO of Mind Robotics, a humanoid robotics company. Rivian, a large shareholder and launch customer of Mind Robotics, aims to use robotic technology to address potential human labor shortages on its assembly line in Normal, Illinois.
