Rivian reports 46% year-over-year increase in Q3 vehicle deliveries

Rivian, the US-based electric vehicle manufacturer supported by Amazon and Volkswagen, reported its third-quarter production and delivery results for 2026. The company delivered 19,248 vehicles, representing a 46% increase compared to the same period last year.

Production at the company’s facility in Normal, Illinois, totaled 19,751 vehicles during the quarter. The growth in deliveries is attributed to the production ramp-up of the Rivian R2, an entry-level SUV. The Performance version of the R2 began deliveries in June, with the Premium version expected by the end of the year and a more affordable Standard version slated for 2027.

To meet its full-year delivery guidance of 65,000 to 70,000 vehicles, Rivian will need to achieve a quarterly delivery volume of at least 23,193 in the fourth quarter, a required increase of approximately 20.5% over Q3 results.
