Riviera cinema hosts Wim Wenders tribute and French film week in Greece

The Riviera summer cinema program in Greece runs from 6 to 12 August, offering a mix of classic movies, Greek favourites and a dedicated tribute to director Wim Wenders. Screenings include George Stevens' "A Place in the Sun", Wenders' early feature "The Goalkeeper's Anxiety Before the Penalty", "Mamma Mia!", and Greek comedy "Let the Women Wait". The Wenders showcase continues with "Alice in the Cities", "Buena Vista Social Club", "Paris, Texas", "Wings of Love", "An American Friend", "Wonderful Days" and "The Million Dollar Hotel".

A parallel French‑cinema focus presents Reem Kherici's comedy "Pour le Plaisir", Grégoire Vigneron's "Le Million", Jean‑Paul Salomé's hit "L'Affaire Bojarski", and a re‑screening of Abbas Kiarostami's "Certified Copy" starring Juliette Binoche.
