Riviera dei Cedri reports increased tourism for 2026 season

The 2026 summer season concluded with a significant increase in tourist arrivals in the Riviera dei Cedri, according to Assoturextra. The region encompasses 17 municipalities in the Upper Tyrrhenian area of Cosenza, spanning from the coastline to the Pollino National Park.

Assoturextra aims to consolidate these gains by focusing on seasonal diversification and experiential tourism. The association's strategy involves extending the tourist season by targeting September and October and attracting more international visitors. Proposed activities to integrate sea and mountain offerings include rafting, water trekking, boat excursions, nature trails, cooking workshops, and local tradition-based activities.

Biagio Cavaliere, president of Assoturextra Riviera dei Cedri, stated that while there is significant room for growth, the association is committed to building new opportunities through collaboration between tourism operators, local administrations, and travel agencies to increase the territory's competitiveness.
