Riviera dei Cedri to be featured on Canale 5's Melaverde

The Riviera dei Cedri, known as the ‘Gate to Calabria’, will be featured in a special episode of the television program Melaverde, airing on Canale 5 on Sunday, October 4, at 11:50 AM.

The episode is the result of a collaborative territorial promotion project involving the municipalities of Scalea and Santa Maria del Cedro, ARSAC, and the GAL Riviera dei Cedri. The initiative aims to present the region as a unified destination by highlighting its unique identity, maritime culture, and local landscapes.

Key elements of the broadcast include the cultivation and artisanal transformation of the cedar, a central symbol of the Riviera, as well as the production of chili peppers and other local gastronomic specialties. Filming took place in July, covering locations such as the village of Scalea, the Castle of San Michele in Santa Maria del Cedro, and the cedar groves of the Lao Valley.
