Riyadh Air launches new routes and completes first domestic flight

Saudi Arabia's Riyadh Air, backed by the Public Investment Fund, unveiled its first two Boeing 787‑9 Dreamliners and opened ticket sales for five international destinations – Cairo, Dubai, Jeddah, Madrid and Manchester – while moving its Riyadh‑London service launch to June 10, 2026. The airline plans a fleet of 72 Dreamliners and aims to serve over 100 destinations by 2030 as part of Vision 2030.

On June 14, 2026 the carrier operated its inaugural domestic commercial flight, a Riyadh‑Jeddah service using a newly delivered Dreamliner, in a ceremony attended by senior Saudi aviation officials. The launch underscores Riyadh Air's strategy to strengthen connectivity between Saudi cities and boost tourism and business travel.
