Riyadh Air to launch daily Kuala Lumpur‑Riyadh flights

Riyadh Air announced that it will increase the Riyadh‑Kuala Lumpur service from three flights a week to a daily schedule in the near term, citing strong two‑way demand. The airline chose Kuala Lumpur as its first Southeast Asian destination because of high travel volumes: Saudi tourists visit Malaysia for leisure, while Malaysians travel to Saudi Arabia for pilgrimage, business and tourism. The carrier, which began operations in June, already serves Jeddah, Dubai and Cairo and aims to operate to 100 destinations worldwide by 2030. It also sees potential for cargo traffic on the route, positioning Kuala Lumpur as a regional hub for fresh‑produce and perishable goods, and is exploring cooperation with Malaysia Airlines to enhance connectivity.
