Riyadh Air to launch direct Milan-Riyadh flights in 2026

Riyadh is transitioning from a transit hub into a major tourist destination, blending contemporary architecture with historical sites. The city is positioning itself through large-scale international events and new sports and entertainment projects.

To support this growth, Riyadh Air has appointed Discover The World as its commercial representative in Italy. This move precedes the launch of direct flights between Milan and Riyadh, scheduled to debut on December 16, 2026. The service will operate four weekly flights using Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

Key cultural attractions in the capital include the UNESCO World Heritage site of At-Turaif in the Diriyah district, which showcases traditional Najdi architecture. Other significant historical landmarks include the Al-Masmak Fortress and traditional markets such as Souq Al-Zal.
