Riyadh factory fire: Nine Bangladeshi victims' bodies to arrive in Bangladesh

The bodies of nine Bangladeshi workers killed in a factory fire in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, are scheduled to arrive in Bangladesh on Thursday. The victims were among 16 Bangladeshi nationals who died in a fire at a sofa manufacturing factory on August 9.

Following the incident, Saudi authorities used fingerprint identification to confirm the identities of the nine individuals. The Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh confirmed that all legal formalities for the repatriation of the remains have been completed. The bodies are expected to arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 4:05 PM via Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight BG-340.

Seven of the deceased are residents of Atrai in the Naogaon district, while the remaining two are from Naldingia in Natore and Bagmara in Rajshahi. Local authorities in Atrai have arranged for ambulances to transport the bodies to their respective homes at no cost to the families. A mass funeral prayer (Janaza) for the seven victims from Atrai is scheduled to take place at Molla Azad Degree College field on Friday morning.
