Riyadh hosts official reception for Mexico vs. The World boxing week

The Via Riyadh district hosted the official reception for the stars of the ‘Mexico vs. The World’ boxing event, marking the start of boxing week as part of the seventh edition of Riyadh Season. The event featured media interviews and official photography with the participating athletes ahead of the professional bouts scheduled for Saturday, October 31, at ‘The Venue’ in Riyadh.

The boxing week features 18 fighters from around the world competing in nine professional matches. The headline bout features Mexican star Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez against French-Cameroonian Christian Mbilli for the WBC super middleweight title. Other notable matchups include Jaime Munguia against Nikita Zon, and Rafael Espinoza defending his WBO featherweight title against Ricardo Blandon.

The full card also includes bouts involving David Picasso, Karl Martin, Raimundo Vazquez Rojas, Rito Tsutsumi, Sultan Al-Mohammad, Eric Villegas, Marcos Vazquez, Bek Nurmagambet, Carlos Emiliano Rojo Vazquez, Flavius Pia, Hector Octavio Agüero, and Bryan Leon. The week’s schedule includes an official press conference on October 29 and a ceremonial weigh-in and face-off on October 30, with fights broadcast globally via DAZN.
