Riyadh Municipality launches second Ezwa volunteering award

The Riyadh Municipality has announced the launch of the second edition of the ‘Ezwa’ Award for volunteering in the municipal sector for 2026. The initiative aims to honor distinguished community initiatives and encourage broader participation from citizens and various entities in volunteer work, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to improve quality of life and build a vibrant society.

Registration is open from today until October 12, 2026, via the award’s platform. The competition includes four main tracks: municipal volunteering, community initiatives, social responsibility, and cultural participation. Additionally, there are honorary categories to recognize the ‘ideal citizen’ and the ‘ideal organization.’

The award is being held in partnership with the Trimates Community Foundation. The second edition follows a successful first cycle that recorded over 2,800 initiatives, 265 competitors, and 17 winners. Evaluation will be conducted by specialized committees based on criteria including impact, innovation, sustainability, and execution quality.
