Riyadh to host Middle East’s first humanoid robot kickboxing event

Electronic music producer and DJ Tokyo Machine is scheduled to perform at CyberHero x Riyadh on September 9, 2026. The event, organized by Hero Esports, serves as the Middle East’s first humanoid robot kickboxing competition.

The event marks the global debut of the CyberHero robot sports series. Ten EngineAI T800 humanoid robots, each standing approximately 1.73 metres tall and weighing between 75 and 85 kilograms, will compete in live kickboxing bouts to demonstrate their speed, balance, and combat capabilities.

According to Danny Tang, Co-founder and CEO of Hero Esports, the event aims to create a live entertainment experience that merges sport, technology, music, and gaming culture rather than serving as a mere technology demonstration.
