Rize hosts 6th National Gastronomy Days

The 6th National Gastronomy Rize Days will take place from October 8 to 11, 2026, in Rize, Turkey. Hosted by the Rize Municipality under the motto ‘Living Heritage on the Table,’ the event aims to showcase the region's unique culinary culture to both domestic and international visitors.

Located near the Tea Bazaar, the festival will feature over 100 local dishes, chef workshops, and various cultural activities. In addition to culinary showcases, the event includes a ‘Sharing and Exchange Corner’ to encourage community solidarity by allowing citizens to donate books, stationery, and toys for those in need.

Rize Governor İhsan Selim Baydaş and Mayor Rahmi Metin noted that the gastronomy events are expected to boost local sectors, including hospitality, transportation, and retail. Governor Baydaş emphasized Rize's potential to become a leader in gastrotourism through its distinct local products.
