RIZIN draws 48,968 fans to Kyocera Dome Osaka debut

The RIZIN fighting event, ‘Super RIZIN.5 Naniwa no Cho Fukkatsu Matsuri’, drew 48,968 spectators to its debut at the Kyocera Dome Osaka. The event featured a retirement ceremony for Takeru and several high-profile matchups.

In the Super Atomweight division, Natasha Kujutina defeated RENA via a second-round front choke. Following the match, RENA was unable to participate in interviews as she went directly to the hospital. Kujutina expressed her excitement about fighting in Japan and her goal to become the RIZIN Super Atomweight champion.

Other notable results included Mikuru Asakura defeating Shinya Aoki via TKO due to ground punches in the second round. Additionally, Rajabali Sheidullaev won the RIZIN and PFL Featherweight title match against AJ McKee by decision. One scheduled bout between Daichi Tomizawa and Donmai Kawabata was canceled due to Kawabata suffering an orbital fracture.
