Rizomylos and Stefanovikio landowners to receive expropriation payments

Payment orders have been sent to the Volos Tax Office for 91 beneficiaries in Rizomylos and Stefanovikio. These individuals are owed compensation for land that was compulsorily expropriated to construct irrigation pipes sourced from Lake Karla.

The Consignments, Deposits and Loans Fund confirmed that the payment process is entering its final stage. Following assurances from the Fund's President, Stamatina Papadogona, the funds are expected to be deposited into the accounts of the landowners, most of whom are farmers, within the coming days.

The resolution follows interventions by Magnesia MP Christos Boukoros, who had requested updates regarding the delays in compensation for the affected residents.
