Rizza-Insolera student protests school site loss in Siracusa

A 16-year-old student from the Rizza-Insolera Institute has issued a poignant open letter to Michelangelo Giansiracusa, President of the Libero Consorzio di Siracusa, protesting the loss of the school's historic location.

Writing on behalf of her fellow students, the student expressed deep frustration over being treated as “insignificant numbers” rather than individuals. She criticized the decision-making process, noting that students are being forced to abandon their educational choices due to administrative decisions regarding student numbers compared to the Corbino Institute.

The letter highlights a sense of abandonment by the system and warns that such treatment contributes to the “brain drain,” as young people feel their voices are ignored and their futures are decided by impersonal forces.
