RJ Mitte discusses ‘Breaking Bad’ irony and career beginnings
Actor RJ Mitte, known for his role in the television series ‘Breaking Bad’, revealed that his first professional acting test was for a California public service announcement against methamphetamine use.
Mitte noted the irony of this beginning given his role as the son of Walter White, a character who produces methamphetamine in the series. During a appearance on the ‘Joe Vulpis Podcast’, the 34-year-old actor argued that the show itself serves as a warning against drug use because ‘nothing ends well for anyone.’
Mitte also shared details regarding his casting process for the series, noting that it lasted approximately six months. He recalled a specific challenge involving the portrayal of his character's cerebral palsy, which included a testing session where he had to use crutches provided by a casting director.
