RJL 5 podcast wins Podcast of the Year in China

The Indonesian horror podcast RJL 5, hosted by Fajar Aditya, has been named Podcast of the Year at The 2nd Gen Z International Podcast Festival held in Xiamen, China, on September 29, 2026.

Distinguished by its unique storytelling approach, the podcast utilizes an anthropological lens to explore mystical tales. Rather than focusing solely on horror, Aditya, a Master of Anthropology graduate from the University of Indonesia, uses local myths to discuss cultural heritage, traditional rituals, and community wisdom. This method aims to examine why certain myths persist within society and their functional roles in local cultures.

This recognition follows a previous achievement in 2025, when the podcast was named the best horror podcast by RCTI and YouTube at the same festival in Xiamen.
