RK M DOO Skopje’s mazut certified as compliant, no supply issues at TEČ Negotino

A chemical analysis concluded that the mazut supplied by RK M DOO Skopje complies with all required quality standards and holds the necessary certificates under Macedonian fuel regulations and MK standards.

Witnesses from AD ESM confirmed that each tanker was delivered with a quality certificate, and OKTA, the original supplier of the majority of the fuel, also verified compliance. The mazut was sourced from Insa Oil (Bulgaria), Motor Oil (Greece), Li Oil, Triterol, Pucko Petrol, Sun AG (all North Macedonia), Hifa Oil (Bosnia and Herzegovina) and Lotur Oil (Bulgaria).

The certification disproves claims that fuel shortages caused interruptions at the TEČ Negotino power plant; the outages were due to planned or unplanned technical defects, not a lack of mazut. A government decision to prioritize domestic fuel was deemed appropriate because electricity market prices had risen sharply, as a witness noted: "Нас ни беше битно да ја испочитуваме одлуката на Владата…". The statement from AD ESM also emphasized: "Секоја цистерна беше примена со сертификат за квалитет на мазутот".
