ŽRK Osijek faces roster crisis amid financial struggles
ŽRK Osijek is facing significant internal challenges during the early stages of the new First Handball League season. Financial difficulties have led to a depleted roster, with the club experiencing its lowest player numbers in its 70-year history.
Coach Zoran Dorić reported severe squad shortages, noting that the team traveled to Split with only eight players, including two goalkeepers. Despite these limitations, the team managed to limit their deficit in a 32:29 loss against Split. The club continues to struggle with player availability due to injuries and illnesses, alongside the ongoing impact of financial instability.
