Cibona defeats Galatasaray 96-76 in FIBA Champions League opener

Cibona secured a significant victory against Galatasaray in their first FIBA Champions League home game in ten years. Playing at Dražen Dom in Zagreb before nearly 2,000 spectators, the Croatian champions defeated the Turkish favorites with a score of 96-76.

The match was closely contested in the first quarter, ending in a 24-24 tie. However, Cibona took control in the second quarter and maintained their lead throughout the remainder of the game. The team demonstrated exceptional shooting accuracy, hitting 60.9 percent of their three-point attempts.

Khalif Battle led the scoring for Cibona with 32 points, including six three-pointers. Other key contributors included Roko Badžim with 19 points and Lovro Mazalin with 18 points. For Galatasaray, Aleksej Nikolić and Alen Smailagić each scored 13 points.
