RK Zagreb to debut at Krste Andonovski handball tournament in Ohrid

The Croatian handball club RK Zagreb will participate in the fifth edition of the international Krste Andonovski tournament for the first time. The event is scheduled to take place from August 18 to 22 at the Biljani Izvori sports center in Ohrid.

Zagreb arrives with a significantly strengthened roster, having added eight new players this summer, including Marko Mamić, Manuel Štrlek, Urh Kastelic, Jovic Nikolić, and Gleb Kalarash. Coach Hrvoje Horvat stated that while the team aims to win every match, the primary objective is to ensure player health and optimal preparation for the upcoming season.

Zagreb is placed in Group A alongside the host team Ohrid, Vojvodina, and the Egyptian U20 national team. Player Filip Glavaš identified Ohrid and Vardar as favorites for the trophy, while noting that Zagreb remains a strong contender. Glavaš also expressed respect for the local conditions in Ohrid, noting the club's consistent improvement in recent seasons.
