RKC Waalwijk signs winger Virgil Misidjan

RKC Waalwijk has signed 33-year-old winger Virgil Misidjan on a free transfer. The contract runs until mid-2027, with an option for an additional season.

Misidjan, a Surinamese international with 445 official career appearances, joins the club following his departure from NEC. Technical Director Bernard Schuiteman stated that the club remained alert to strengthening the squad even after the transfer window closed, noting that Misidjan brings significant experience to a talented wing department.

Misidjan, who grew up in the region and trained in the RJO Willem II/RKC youth system, expressed his desire to help the club achieve its goal of returning to the Eredivisie. His career includes stints at clubs such as Ludogorets Razgrad, Ferencváros, FC Nürnberg, and Al-Tai.
