Rằm Rộ fashion show blends tradition with youth creativity

The ‘Rằm Rộ’ fashion show took place on September 11 at the 40 Lan Ong relic site, serving as a cultural highlight of the Mid-Autumn Festival season. The event aimed to bridge traditional Vietnamese values with contemporary creative expression through fashion.

All featured designs were created by students from the Hanoi University of Architecture. The collection drew inspiration from traditional elements such as the Vietnamese lion head and various cultural motifs associated with the Moon Festival. The show functioned as an open community space, allowing young people to engage directly with fashion and cultural storytelling.

Notable participants included several runners-up from the Miss Vietnam 2024 pageant. Runner-up Nguyen Thi Van Nhi performed as a Vedette with the first-place winning piece ‘Su Nguyet’ from the ‘Ro Sac’ competition. Runner-up Tran Ngoc Chau Anh presented the work ‘Son Mai Ky Uc’, while Pham Thuy Duong appeared as a First Face with the second-place design ‘Nguyet Cam Su’. Mai Ngo also performed, showcasing the ‘Nguyet Da Long Lan’ design, which blended traditional aesthetics with modern movement.
