RMDSZ hosts community cooking festivals in Romania

Several community cooking competitions organized by the RMDSZ were held in Romania, celebrating local traditions and social gathering.

In Nagyszentmiklós, the 11th Rooster Festival took place at the Bisztray house courtyard. Thirteen cooking teams competed, including a long-standing Bulgarian community team. The event, supported by volunteers and the Kék Ibolya folk dance group, featured culinary sharing and musical performances by Szabó Ferenc and the Szinkron band. RMDSZ Timiș County President András Molnár attended to praise the local Hungarian community's cultural contributions.

In Nagykároly, the RMDSZ hosted a summer-closing cauldron cooking competition in the dendrological park of the Károlyi Castle. Seventeen teams participated, preparing various dishes such as goulash, roasted pig, and grilled chicken. The event included decorated stands, live music from the Nagykároly Party Band, and local musical performances. Mayor Mónika Giurgiu-Kovács provided a welcome address to the attendees.
