RMRDC establishes 50 pilot plants and secures 45 patents

The Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC) has established over 50 pilot plants and laboratories and secured more than 45 patents through its research and development efforts.

During a visit to the Council's headquarters in Abuja, Dr. Muktar Yawale Mohammed, Permanent Secretary of the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology, commended these achievements as significant milestones for Nigeria's industrialization. He emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between research institutions and the industrial sector by ensuring government-funded technologies are commercialized to create jobs and support economic diversification.

RMRDC Director-General Prof. Nnanyelugo Martin Ike-Muonso reaffirmed the Council's commitment to processing and utilizing Nigeria's industrial raw materials to transform them into local manufacturing inputs.
