Rómulo Gallegos medical center rehabilitated in Caja Seca
The Rómulo Gallegos Integral Diagnostic Center (CDI) and Integral Rehabilitation Room (SRI) in Santa Cruz, Caja Seca, have been fully rehabilitated and upgraded. The project was delivered by Zulia Governor Luis Caldera and other national officials as part of the National Health and Life Plan.
The facility has been equipped with modern medical technology to provide free, high-quality care to approximately 100,000 residents in the Sucre municipality and surrounding areas of the Sur del Lago region. The center includes an emergency room, intensive care unit, consultation rooms, laboratory, rehabilitation services, and X-ray facilities.
This expansion aims to reduce the burden on the regional health system and prevent residents from having to travel to the neighboring states of Mérida or Trujillo for medical attention. Additionally, the center is intended to serve as a training hub for medical students.
