Şırnak hosts 5th Cudi Cup International Tennis Tournament

The 5th Cudi Cup International Tennis Tournament has commenced in Şırnak, Turkey. Held at university tennis courts from September 21 to September 26, the event features 62 athletes representing five countries: Turkey, Russia, the United States, Yemen, and Belarus.

During the opening ceremony, which included local officials such as Şırnak Governor Birol Ekici, the Governor highlighted the region's evolving status. He emphasized that Şırnak has become a center for peace and security, noting its growing economic contributions in sectors such as agriculture, livestock, energy, and trade. Specific economic figures mentioned included a daily oil production of 85,000 barrels and a livestock population of 1.35 million small ruminants.

The tournament includes singles and doubles matches across various categories, with a focus on providing international competitive experience to young athletes.
