Şırnak Police Find Missing 13-Year-Old Children Within 45 Minutes

Two 13‑year‑old children, B. E. and M. D., from Dargeçit in Mardin province set out on 1 August to attend the Emin Acar Quran Course in Şırnak. After boarding a service in Cizre, the children lost contact with their families. Their parents reported them missing to the Şırnak Police Directorate, which together with the provincial police launched a coordinated search. Investigators reviewed security‑camera footage and conducted field checks, locating the children about 45 minutes after the report. Both were found in good health and were returned to their families.

The swift police response was highlighted as an example of effective coordination between local authorities and the community in handling missing‑person incidents.
