Rønne roadworks cause three-week closure and bus diversions
A major intersection at Store Torv in Rønne will be closed for three weeks, from October 19 to November 8, to facilitate improvements to pedestrian crossings. The project is part of a broader urban renewal effort in Rønne, aimed at enhancing safety for pedestrians and cyclists by addressing slippery surfaces and widening gaps between paving stones. The improvements are intended to prepare the area for the town's 700th anniversary next year.
The closure affects bus traffic in Rønne Centrum. BAT has announced that buses will not pass through the city center during this period. Instead, passengers are advised to use stops on Østergade. Buses in both directions will reroute via Sønder Allé, Zartmannsvej, and Munch Petersens Vej to reach Rønne Harbour.
